Table vs. Pivot Table Functionality
Tables and pivot tables are very similar. They look very similar and they both have drill to details, columns selectors, h-drills, and column selectors that are h-drills.
Using Regular Tables
Tables can be sorted by any column by selecting the column title. They also have additional column heading drill options.


- You can sort tables my multiple columns by holding down the control key while selecting the column titles.
- Letting go of the control key will initialize the sorting of the columns.

Tables only show the first 25 records as default. To view different records, use the navigational buttons below the table.

Left Arrow & Line button: Displays the first 25 records -
Left Arrow button: Displays the previous 25 records -
Right Arrow button: Displays the next 25 records -
Right Arrow & Star button: Displays ALL possible records

Pivot Tables
Pivot tables have already organized and summarized the detail information. They also come with additional heading information options available

They allow for an additional selection option:
- Drop-down choice
- No "Go" button
- Appears directly above the pivot table
- Only applies to the pivot table view
- Resets to default after drill
