Enrollment Monitoring

The purpose of this dashboard page is to monitor daily enrollment totals for courses/sections in the current enrollment term, including number enrolled and waiting. Data is available from Summer Quarter 2008 forward.

Enrollment Monitoring Prompt

The Enrollment Monitoring Prompt is used to refine the content on the dashboard page. The following content describes the prompt selections, default values and various examples on how to use the prompt to change the content on the page. Default prompt selections are needed to restrict the initial view of the page. Make different selections and press GO to change the display.

Enrollment Monitoring Prompt

  • Term = The current enrollment term is selected as the default term.
  • Class Type = Enrollment Section. Choose Non-Enrollment Section to also see all classes such as labs.
  • Class Status = Active. Choose Cancelled Section if desired.
  • Requirement left blank. Pertains to General Education, Cooperative Education, Not for Degree Credit, United States Cultural Plural.
  • Schedule Print = Y. Choose N to also include classes not printed in the schedule or viewable on PASS.
  • % Enrolled - Use this prompt to view classes based on the percentage of enrollment.
    • Example 1: Example 1: Entering 60 to 80 in the % Enrolled will display classes with enrolled between 60 and 80 percent. Sixty to Eighty percent enrollment selected.
    • Example 2: Entering a number in the second % Enrolled box will display classes with an enrollment percentage equal to or less than the number entered. Using 80 will display all classes with 80 percent or less enrollments.enrollment 80 percent or below
    • Example 3: Enter a number in the first % Enrolled box will display classes with enrollment equal to or greater than the number entered. Using 100 in the field will display all classes that have reached or exceeded maximum capacity.Percent enrolled equal to or greater than 100.

Click the GO button after making all prompt selections.

  • # Enrolled - Use this prompt to view classes based on the number of students enrolled.
    • Example 1: Entering 1 to 30 in the # Enrolled will display classes with enrollments with 1 or more and 30 or less enrollments. Enrolled between 1 and 30
    • Example 2: Entering a number in the second # Enrolled box will display classes with enrollments equal to or less than the number entered - including classes with NO enrollments. Using 30 will display all classes with 30 or less students enrolled. Enrolled less than 30
    • Example 3: Entering a number in the first # Enrolled box will display classes with enrollments equal to or greater than the number entered. Using 30 will display all classes with 30 or more students enrolled. Enrolled more than 30

Click the GO button after making all prompt selections.

  • # Waiting - Use this prompt to view classes based on the number of students on the PolyProfile
    • Example 1: Entering 1 in the first # Waiting box will display ALL classes with waitlists. Show classes with waitlists
    • Example 2: Entering 25 in the first # Waiting box will display all classes with 25 or more students on a waitlist. Waitlists with 25 or more students
  • Combining % Enrolled with the # Waiting - Use these two prompts together to get a list of classes that have a high enrollment with an active waitlist.
    • Example: Entering 85 to 100 in the % Enrolled and 25 in the first # Waiting box will display classes that have reached 85 to 100 percent enrollment capacity and have 25 or more students on the waitlist.Combining percent enrolled and waiting prompts will show classes with high demand and a waitlist

Information AvailableIf after making selections in the prompt and after pressing the GO button the screen does not refresh, you can click the GO button again or click the Refresh link.

Class Enrollment Monitor

Course Daily Enrollment ThumbnailThe Course Enrollment Monitor provides the detail information about classes. Content in the Summary view is grouped by the Subject Code and then listed in ascending order by the Catalog Nbr. After you press the prompt Go button information about the classes will be displayed.

 

Warning and Alert Indicators

Selectors for the Course Enrollment MonitorUse the Warning and Alert values to control the colored indicators based on percent to capacity. Click the GO button to process the selections.

  • Red is used for values equal to or above the value in the Alert box.
  • Yellow is use for values equal to or above the value in Warning box.
  • Green appears for values below the value in the Warning box.

Show Column

The Show Column allows you to change the information displayed in the column with the yellow heading. Click the GO button after making a selection from the drop-down menu.

Select a View

  • Summary - provides the detail information about the class
  • Filters View - displays the criteria used for the request

Subject Code - Subject Descr

The Subject Code - Subject Descr (Description) drop-down will display more than one selection if the Subject prompt is left blank. You can reduce list of selections by choosing College, Department and/or Subject in the prompt.

Class Nbr

The Class Nbr in the Summary view is a link to the Course Daily Enrollment Monitor for the class selected.

Class Daily Enrollment Monitor

Course Daily Enrollment Monitor ThumbnailTo view the Course Daily Enrollment Monitor click the Class Nbr in the Summary view. The example of the Course Daily Enrollment Monitor shows the daily enrollment activity for a class in the form of a graph and table. Both views show the enrollment capacity for the class location, enrolled, waiting and the percent to capacity.
